A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
Move a straight line across a real map to divide its estimated population into two equal groups. In Explore, only people inside the outlined map window count. In Countries and States & provinces, only people inside the selected boundary count. After you confirm, you’ll see the percentages on each side. A 50/50 split earns 100 points. Each percentage point away from 50 reduces your score by two points.
We use the European Commission’s Global Human Settlement Layer (GHS-POP R2023A), with residential population estimates for 2020. The grid includes urban and rural areas and is aggregated for a fast browser game. These are modelled estimates. Read about the data and map coverage.
